30 Days; Day 2 Roots

Roots

As a tree has roots in the earth, a human being has roots in their thoughts. These roots grow and are reinforced through repetition and acknowledgment to become imaginations, meditations and ultimately, beliefs.

We cannot act apart from thinking, but we can manipulate and adjust the program of thought to serve our intentions rather than misaligned interpretations or reactions.

We must find a way for our thoughts and the resulting actions to serve us and contribute to our personal evolution.

Energy

More than just the energy we have to do things or the energy for living, there is a quality aspect to energy; and this is concerning our human energy, our energy to create and fight and overcome. Energy to do good or to destroy. Energy to love or to hate.

This energy we develop with our thoughts. With thoughts of revenge and anger we build the energy to avenge, to retaliate, to destroy. With thoughts of love we design our energy and time to contribute, to serve, to give. With thoughts of depression and apathy and victimization we sow the seeds of indifference and inaction.

In nature energy is amoral, the sun and the Earth, the animals do not care if or how their processes affect anything. Humans are the only beings capable of destroying or creating with a secondary purpose. Using their energy at their will, their thoughts for a reason.

This energy has tremendous potential, both to serve and to harm; to create and to destroy. Shall we restrict it? Should we use it to ruminate on hatred and revenge? Should we stew in our thoughts and add all the negative energy we receive until we boil over? Or can we store and harness these energies for a higher purpose, for a calling to help and to build up and restore?

Vibration

Even as physical energy is related to vibration, so is thought energy, so is the relative “life energy” we experience and convey. We have all learned to read these moods and energies and the related thought patterns in those we spend the most time with, even if we do not realize it. We have all felt the energy of joy or power or bitterness or fear as a certain person has entered our space. We have all have had our hairs stand on end.

The quality or characteristics of the vibration, the energy and the overall experience all leave their impression. The stronger the impression, the more we assimilate the experience and resonate with it. Whether the impact is negative or positive, encouraging or mundane or traumatic is largely up to our resolve, our decisions about who we are and what our experiences ultimately mean in our lives.

We are compelled then to make a choice; which energy and frequency shall we resonate with?

Are you always bitter and angry? Stuck on all that is wrong, living in cycles of fear and anger and frustration.

Are you despondent and lost? Living as a victim. Letting your time and energy dissipate into nothing.

Could you be happy and joyful? Could you have gratitude for your breath? For your senses, your life, all the experiences, good and bad?

Make a choice to resonate with love. With service. With gratitude for life. With joy, with peace. With money. With freedom.

Speak, do, live, act with these energies as a foundation of truth.

Realize that you have been doing this all along, only from the wrong foundation.

Thought

The quality of our thoughts determine the quality of our lives. The question is, what are you going to do about it?

Are we to continue as we have? Falling in, giving up to endless cycles and embracing negative energies? Settling day in and day out for the same old patterns and routines?

Could we find a way to change the script? Adjust the character and the reactions and the situations? Can we perform a few scenes in a new setting? Can we let in some light? Get a different director? Change the channel? Get in a new environment?

What does it take to change our thoughts and affect our circumstances?

When will you make a decision that you are more than able to do everything you dream to do?

When will you stop being afraid to live a bigger life? When will you take control of your thoughts and your story?

From the surface thoughts and reactions to life (traffic, work tasks) to deep meditations and foundational beliefs (religion, baked-in personality traits, the angels and devils in your subconscious) it is said that your habits and habitual subconscious thoughts predetermine 90 percent of your daily decisions.

You life is predetermined by your state of mind and what you think you already know about what to expect.

Sample thoughts that may serve you better.

Self-help is not broken. You are. That is why you seek help. But you are only broken because you think you are, because of the energy and vibration you occupy. Others can point the way, only you can drink the water. You must unlearn what you have learned, on every level of your being.

I am determined to have a better quality of life.

I am resolved to live and walk in love and peace.

I am happy and I have a joyful heart.

I will see my dreams fulfilled. I will live my fullest life.

I am confident that everything will work out for my best interests.

I am restful in my soul, confident in my mind and courageous in my spirit.

My heart is at ease.

My life is fulfilling and enriching.

I know what I want and how to get it.

I know I can grow and change.

I am growing.

I am more than I can comprehend.

I can do more than I can understand.

I have deep reservoirs of strength, wisdom, understanding and talent.

I …

Spirit

Thinking is in the mind. Being transcends and also encompasses body and mind. Human being, not human thinking, not human doing. What are you being? As this will have an effect on all other aspects of your life, we should be firm in our current state of being, lest we are taken over by emotions, temptations or desires.

Bringing together the ideas of energy, vibration and thought we seek to be filled with only those which are beneficial. Only those ideas and dreams and beliefs that give us the most complete life we can live. Anything that would take our attention and focus and energy away from living an abundant life, anything that would make us feel small, feel incompetent, feel incomplete, anything that would cause us to turn away from standing up for ourselves, for our dreams, for the rights and causes which we believe, anything that would take our days and our faith and our heart should be reduced, removed and eliminated.

Does this serve me?

Ask not as someone who needs to be served, but as someone who wants to eliminate all things which do not make a true difference, which do not contribute to growth, courage, discipline, health, prosperity, and any good thing.

If your roots are in better thoughts, if you release burdens and embrace forgiveness, if you encourage peace and joy, if you are full of love, if you work for ideas and purposes greater than yourself, if you are determined and courageous and focused and disciplined, if you are all of this and more… what can you not do?

What energy do I convey?

What do I give energy to needlessly?

How can I be at peace?

Does my being and doing and thinking align with who I really am?

Take some time and decide your values; make some decisions about attitudes and ways of being and thinking; examine your thoughts and purposes and motivations.
